The Park Forest Environment
Commission invites you to attend the kick-off meeting for the 2012 Park Forest
Community Garden Project. We’ve been
overwhelmed by the positive response from the community about this project and
look forward to start digging in the dirt.
The meeting will be held on
Thursday, March 22 at 7 p.m. in the Board Room of Park Forest Village Hall, 350
Victory Drive.
Tentative Agenda
·
Identify contact person for each gardening group
·
Discuss how gardening groups using Village-owned
property will be reimbursed
·
Execute administrative documents by those
gardening on Village-owned property
·
Discuss strategies for planning your gardens
·
Solicit volunteers for projects such as building,
fund-raising, and art projects
·
2013 grant opportunities for faith-based groups,
schools, and the community.
If you want to garden but do not
have a group, we’ll help you find one.
And if you still want to garden on a Village-owned lot, there is still time
to pick a spot to garden.
