Reserve a Park Permit for 2010

Picnic permits for Somonauk, Central and Logan pavilions for 2010 dates will be issued  beginning
Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Village Hall (350 Victory Dr., Park Forest, IL).

To complete the permit we will need:

*Date of your picnic.
*Start and ending time (including your set-up and take-down time).
*Number of people attending.
*Name, address and phone number of responsible party (must be an adult). 

Following the lottery, permits will be taken on a first come basis. Full payment
must accompany the reservation. (Method of payment - cash, check, money order,
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.)

2010 Fee Schedule for 6-hour period* 
Groups of 99 or less......................$ 75
Groups of 100-199........................$115
Groups of 200 or more...................$175

*$5 for each additional hour over six (per pavilion).
Picnic permits do not include reserved time on ballfields or tennis courts.

Permit cancellations must be made two weeks prior to permit date to
be considered for a refund.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on park properties except as specifically allowed by an approved
picnic permit. All picnic permits allowing alcoholic beverages expire one half hour after sundown.

SOMONAUK PARK: The Somonauk Pavilion is a great place for large group picnics. The spacious pavilion has tables
to accommodate approximately 150 people. If additional tables are needed, please contact a local rental company.
Electrical outlets and restrooms are housed in the pavilion.

Groups with a permit for the Somonauk Park Pavilion will be issued keys for the restrooms and will be expected to
take full responsibility for supervision of use of these facilities by both group members and the general public.

There is also a picnic grove at Somonauk that has five picnic tables and is located near the play equipment.
There is no charge for a permit for this area.

CENTRAL PARK: At Central Park there are two pavilions (East and West) with eight tables in each pavilion.
The East Pavilion has a kitchen room attached with a sink, stove and refrigerator. There are restrooms
located between the two pavilions. 

LOGAN PARK: Logan Park is ideal for groups under 40 people. The 20' X 30' pavilion with electrical outlets will
accommodate four picnic tables. Parking for 35 cars is located on North St. just west of Orchard Dr. A public
washroom building is located just a few feet from the pavilion. An intermediate age playground is located on the
north side of the park adjacent to the ballfield. A pre-school playground sits adjacent to the picnic area.
For an outing at Logan Park, be sure to bring your bikes, roller blades, scooters or walking shoes. The renowned
Old Plank Road Trail cuts right through the center of Logan. From Logan this beautiful 10' wide bike trail
continues to Joliet, Illinois.

BALLFIELD PERMITS: The two lighted ballfields at Central Park can be rented for $30 for 1 1/2 hours and can be
reserved no earlier than two weeks before the desired date. All other ballfields can be reserved free of charge no
earlier than two weeks before the desired date.

PICNIC KIT/COLOSSAL COOKER: For a $10 fee you can reserve a picnic kit (includes baseball, bat, bases,
volleyball and net). Rent our colossal cooker when cooking for a crowd. Fee is $30 (additional $30 fee for delivery).
