LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF THE PARK FOREST AREA

The Park Forest Area League of Women Voters welcomes all persons (female and male alike)
who are interested in promoting responsible government at any level. Good government does
not happen without active citizen participation. The LWV studies issues, gets to know public
officials, observes at public meetings, lobbies on issues, registers voters and provides many
educational services including candidates’ forums. The LWV does NOT support parties or candidates,
but deals only with issues. We continue to support and lobby for increased school  funding.

Anyone interested in the LWV should write to Mary Truss at P.O. Box 782, Park Forest, IL 60466.
Visit our website at
www.lwvpfa.org.

COMMITTEE FOR NON-PARTISAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Since 1955, the Committee for Non-Partisan Local Government in Park Forest has assisted legally
qualified residents to run for office at very little expense. Candidates for Village Mayor, Village Board of Trustees
and the Library Board run for office independently, not as a Republican, Democrat or under any other local affiliation.
The Non-Partisan Committee does not endorse any candidate, work for or against any issues, or require candidates
to participate in the Committee forums.

The Committee offers candidates the opportunity to reach voters through candidate forums, most of which are
shown on local cable access stations 4 or 19. The forums give residents the opportunity to ask questions of all
the participating candidates. Forums will be announced on enewspf.com and the Southtown/Star.

For more information or if you’re interested in helping, contact Debby Campbell, (708)481-5095.
